A nondirectional beacon RMP-200, produced by the leading Russian developer and supplier of air traffic management equipment JSC Azimut has been commissioned at the international airport of Syktyvkar, the Komi Republic.
Today, there are 7 airports in the Republic: an international airport in Syktyvkar, airports in the towns of Ukhta, Usinsk, Vorkuta, Pechora, Ust-Tsilma. Given the geographical features of the region, air transport provides the residents of the Komi Republic with necessary accessibility and communication with other areas of the country. In accordance with the Program of Revival of the Komi Republic, in which the aviation cluster is highlighted, it is expected not only to seriously upgrade the aircraft fleet in the region, but also to modernize the ground infrastructure.
The nondirectional beacon RMP-200 is recommended for use on civil aerodromes and on the airfields of local airlines as a means of indicating the landing heading. This equipment, produced by AZIMUT, successfully operates in the airports of the towns of Makhachkala, Bratsk, Norilsk, Astrakhan, Novosibirsk, Chita, and Nizhneudinsk.
The branch «Aeronavigatsiya Severnogo Urala» (Air Navigation of the Northern Urals) of FSUE «State ATM Corporation» took on the role of the Customer for the commissioning of air navigation equipment. JSC Azimut specialists carried out installation, starting-up and adjustment works, as well as the briefing of operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks.
