Russian developer of electronic systems for civil aviation JSC Azimut has successfully completed work on the installation of a radio beacon landing system SP200/RMD-90NP at the international airport of Roschino in the Tyumen region.
Work on the modernization of the airport was conducted in accordance with the Federal Target Program «Modernization of the Unified System of Air Traffic Management in the Russian Federation for the years 2009-2020». The branch «Aeronavigatsiya Severa Sibiri» (Air Navigation of the North of Siberia) of FSUE «State ATM Corporation» took on the role of the Customer for the commissioning of air navigation equipment at the airport of Tyumen.
JSC Azimut specialists carried out installation, starting-up and adjustment works, as well as the briefing of operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks of the radio beacon landing system SP200/RMD-90NP as part of the contract. This air navigation equipment serves approach for the aircraft even in adverse weather conditions, indicates to the crew the landing heading, gliding angle and distance to touchdown.
