The leading designer and manufacturer of air traffic management equipment JSC Azimut has completed the project for equipping the airports of the Republic of Komi with radio aids for flight support. Upgraded air traffic control facilities – automatic direction finders and non-directional beacons – were installed in six out of the seven airports existing in the region.
The installation of a non-directional beacon RMP-200 at the airport of Ukhta was the final part of the project for the modernization of the ground infrastructure of the airfields of the Republic. Earlier, such equipment had been installed at Syktyvkar international airport and Pechora airport. In addition, this hub, as well as the airports of Vorkuta, Inta and Usinsk were equipped with automatic direction finders DF2000.
The non-directional beacon RMP-200, installed by JSC Azimut at Ukhta airport, is recommended for use on civil aerodromes and on the airfields of local airlines as one of the means of indicating the landing heading. This equipment, produced by AZIMUT, successfully operates at the airports of the towns of Makhachkala, Bratsk, Norilsk, Astrakhan, Novosibirsk, Chita, and Nizhneudinsk.
All the works on commissioning the air navigation equipment are made in the interests of FSUE «State ATM Corporation». JSC Azimut specialists carried out installation, starting-up and adjustment works, as well as the briefing of operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks as part of the contract.
JSC Azimut with the assistance of Rostec State Corporation develops, manufactures commercially, and supplies, on a turnkey basis, civil aviation enterprises with the facilities of communication, navigation, landing, surveillance, and air traffic control automation, as well as develops and implements integrated projects of equipping and re-equipping aerodromes and air traffic control centres.
