On four sites of Kamchaeronavigatsiya (Kamchatka Air Navigation) branch, FSUE «State ATM Corporation», there have been completed works to prepare radio aids, produced by the leading Russian air traffic management equipment developer and supplier JSC Azimut, for putting them into operation.
Air traffic service of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and three ATS units: Ust-Kamchatsky, Milkovsky, and Ust-Bolsheretsky are equipped with multi-channel digital radio aids designed to be used in air traffic control systems for civil aviation.
The 2000 Series is new generation VHF- and VHF/UHF-band multi-channel digital radio aids, complying with ICAO and Russian standards. It is highly reliable and noise-immune in complicated electromagnetic environment, and can also be automatically adapted to external conditions.
A modular principle of building radio aids is applied in the 2000 Series, which enables equipping both small airports and aggregated multi-channel centres with modern radio communications. The software allows adding new functionality and technical capabilities and adapting the hardware to specific applications without changing the design.
JSC Azimut with the assistance of the Rostec State Corporation develops, manufactures commercially, and supplies, on a turnkey basis, civil aviation enterprises with the facilities of communication, navigation, landing, surveillance, and air traffic control automation, as well as develops and implements integrated projects of equipping and re-equipping aerodromes and air traffic control centres.
