A non-directional beacon RMP-200, produced by the leading Russian developer and supplier of air traffic management equipment JSC Azimut, has been commissioned at the international airport of Magadan.
The international airport of Magadan provides regular airline service between the Magadan Region and air hubs of the Russian Far East, including the Chukotka Autonomous District, Siberia and Moscow. This is one of the 32 airports in the country, located in remote areas, whose infrastructure is being renovated and constructed under the Federal Target Program «Development of the transport system in Russia in 2010-2020».
The non-directional beacon RMP-200 is recommended for use on civil aerodromes and on the airfields of local airlines as one of the means of indicating the landing heading. This equipment, produced by AZIMUT, successfully operates in the airports of the towns of Makhachkala, Bratsk, Norilsk, Astrakhan, Novosibirsk, Chita, and Nizhneudinsk.
All the works on commissioning the air navigation equipment are made in the interests of FSUE «State ATM Corporation». JSC Azimut specialists carried out installation, starting-up and adjustment works, as well as the briefing of operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks as part of the contract.
