Bogashevo International airport in the Tomsk region is equipped with a non-directional beacon RMP-200 produced by JSC Azimut, the leading Russian developer and manufacturer in the field of air traffic management.
Work on the technical equipping of the Tomsk air hub is being carried out in accordance with the sub-programme «Civil aviation» of the federal target program «Development of the transport system of Russia for the years 2010-2020». The sub-programme objective in the Tomsk region is to provide accommodating modern aircraft and increase traffic. The main expected results of the implementation are ensuring the required level of safety, improving the quality of air services provided, eliminating the negative impact of infrastructure constraints of the airport on the quality of air services.
The non-directional beacon RMP-200 is recommended for use on civil aerodromes and on the airfields of local airlines as one of the means of indicating the landing heading. This equipment, produced by AZIMUT, successfully operates in the airports of the towns of Makhachkala, Bratsk, Norilsk, Astrakhan, Novosibirsk, Chita, and Ukhta.
In accordance with the contract, JSC Azimut specialists conducted installation, starting-up and adjustment works, briefing of the operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks. All the works on commissioning of the non-directional beacon RMP-200 has been made in the interests of FSUE «State ATM Corporation».
