A non-directional beacon (NDB) RMP-200, produced by the leading Russian developer and supplier of air traffic management equipment JSC Azimut, was commissioned at Chara airport located in the Kalarsky district of the region.
The renovation of the Chara airport system, socially and economically important for the Trans-Baikal region, is aimed at expanding the capacity of the transport infrastructure of the entire Trans-Baikal region. In addition, it is the key element of infrastructure assurance for the implementation of the development project of the Udokan copper deposit.
The non-directional beacon RMP-200 is recommended for use on civil aerodromes and on the airfields of local airlines as one of the means of indicating the landing heading. The identical equipment, produced by AZIMUT, is successfully operated at the airports of the towns of Makhachkala, Bratsk, Norilsk, Astrakhan, Novosibirsk, Nizhneudinsk and Magadan. Also, one more airport in the Trans-Baikal region, Chita international airport, has previously been fitted with the identical air navigation equipment.
All the works on commissioning the non-directional beacon (NDB) RMP-200 are made in the interests of FSUE «State ATM Corporation». JSC Azimut specialists carried out installation, starting-up and adjustment works, as well as the briefing of operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks under the contract.
