Works on preparation for the commissioning of RMP-200 (outer marker, inner marker) at the airport of Cheboksary have been completed.
Works on the technical equipping of the Cheboksary air hub are being carried out in accordance with the subprogramme «Civil aviation» of the Federal Target Programme «Development of the transport system of Russia for the years 2010-2020». The subprogramme objective in Cheboksary is to ensure handling modern aircraft and increasing air traffic volume. The main expected results of the implementation are ensuring the required level of safety, improving the quality of aviation services provided, eliminating the negative impact of infrastructure restrictions on the quality of airport services.
The non-directional beacon RMP-200 is recommended for use on civil aerodromes and on the airfields of local airlines as one of the means of indicating the landing heading.
Identical equipment produced by AZIMUT successfully operates at the airports of Makhachkala, Bratsk, Norilsk, Astrakhan, Novosibirsk, Chita, Magadan and Ukhta.
In accordance with the contract, specialists of JSC Azimut conducted installation, starting-up and adjustment works, briefing of the operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks. All the works on putting the non-directional beacon RMP-200 into operation were made in the interests of the Chuvash ATS centre, a Central Volga Air Navigation branch, FSUE «State ATM Corporation»
