The Russian developer of electronic systems for civil aviation JSC Azimut is preparing to participate in a tender for the supply of an Air Traffic Management Automation System held by the Ministry of Transportation of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Russian company’s intention to partner with the aviation authorities of the Kingdom expressed at the meeting with Vagif Garayev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Asker Saidov, Director General of JSC Azimuth (Azimut JSC) in Manama, was welcomed by the Governor of the Capital Province of the Kingdom Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.
One of the states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf values its own reputation as a leading financial, cultural and aviation centre in the Middle East. The airport of the Kingdom is the main transport hub located between the East and the West, serving annually more than 10 million passengers. The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications' Air Navigation Department at Civil Aviation Affairs in Bahrain is planning to modernize the hub, update the airport infrastructure, increase its capacity up to 14 million passengers per year, increase the efficiency of air transportation operations and the safety of flights in the airspace of Bahrain.

Indeed, the Air Navigation Department, in coordination with partners in the civil aviation industry, makes a significant contribution to strengthening the leading position of Bahrain in the world, striving to ensure the high level of air navigation services in line with international standards," – said Director General of JSC Azimut Asker Saidov.
"Potential cooperation with Bahrain will be an opportunity for JSC Azimut to expand the geography of its presence. Our technology is already being used in South East Asia, in the countries of EUROCONTROL, Cuba and South Korea. It is our plan to expand into the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, South America and Africa", – concluded the head of JSC Azimut.
JSC Azimut with the assistance of the Rostec State Corporation develops, manufactures commercially, and supplies, on a turnkey basis, civil aviation enterprises with the facilities of communication, navigation, landing, surveillance, and air traffic control automation, as well as develops and implements integrated projects of equipping and re-equipping aerodromes and air traffic control centres.
