JSC Azimut, a leading developer and supplier of air traffic management equipment, took part in the events held at World ATM Congress 2017 and devoted to the improvement of air traffic management and to technologies to come.
The record number of participants from 131 countries came to the Fifth Annual World Congress in Spain in 2017. Round tables, discussion sessions, forums and exhibitions were attended by the representatives of 230 companies involved in the development of the air navigation industry.
“We were able to obtain important information and exchange views on areas related to creating the “right aviation future”, improving global airspace safety and to the efficiency of its use. A separate cluster of topics was related to the safe integration of unmanned aircraft into the airspace. Besides, it is the World ATM Congress where one can get acquainted with the developments and technologies that will determine the development of aviation in the coming years”, - said Director-General of JSC Azimut Asker Saidov, stressing that the exposition core of the Russian company was the Galaxy Air Traffic Control Automation System successfully operating both in ATM centres in Russia and abroad.
AZIMUT experts conducted successful negotiations and productive meetings with representatives of the American company Aireon, working currently at deploying a global satellite system for air traffic control for aircraft, with engineers of the company SITA, the world’s leader in information and telecommunications systems for the air transport industry, with specialists of the aviation research centre MITRE. In addition, the exposition booth of the Russian company was visited by Director-General of ARMATS Artur Gasparyan, Director-General of the state enterprise Kyrgyzaeronavigatsia Ulukbek Rakhmanov First Deputy Director – chief engineer of OJSC AGAT-Control Systems Dmitry Goryachko, the representatives of the Republican unitary enterprise for air navigation services for air traffic Belaeronavigatsia.
In 2018, aviation and air navigation experts will meet in Madrid at World ATM Congress 2018 from 6 to 8 March.
