At Norilsk airport, preparations for the commissioning of an ILS2700 /DME / NL2700 (MKP-013, MKP-193) have been completed.
A new generation ILS2700 instrument landing system, equipped with DME/NL2700 distance measuring equipment, is an all-weather one, and, in accordance with the International civil aviation organization (ICAO) standards is recognized to be a non-visual means of precision approach. The system makes it easier for the pilot to approach and land in the presence of clouds or in limited visibility conditions. Identical radio navigation aids, produced by AZIMUT, are successfully operated at the airports of Volgograd, Vladikavkaz, Anapa, and Ekaterinburg.

Under the contract, Azimut JSC specialists carried out installation, starting-up and adjustment works, as well as briefing operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks.
All the works on commissioning the ILS2700 landing system were performed in the interests of the Norilsk ATS centre, a Central Siberia Air Navigation branch, FSUE “State ATM Corporation”.
