At Ulan-Ude airport, a full scope of work has been completed to get prepared for the commissioning of the VOR2700/DME2700 beacon, produced by Azimut JSC, Russia’s leading developer and supplier of air traffic management equipment.
Distance measuring equipment VOR2700 / DME2700, produced and installed by Azimut JSC at the airport of Ulan-Ude, is a ground azimuthal equipment system for the navigation of aircraft operating in the meter wavelength range with a VOR format of signals, and is recommended by ICAO as the primary means of measuring bearing in the airways or as an additional means of ensuring the approach and landing of civil aircraft.
All the works on commissioning the air navigation equipment have been performed in the interests of FSUE «State ATM Corporation». Under the contract, Azimut JSC specialists carried out installation, starting-up and adjustment works, as well as briefing operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks.
