AZIMUT at the 12th International exhibition and scientific conference on hydro-aviation “Gidroaviasalon-2018” (Hydro-airshow-2018)
From 6 to 9 September 2018, the 12th International exhibition and scientific conference on hydro-aviation “Gidroaviasalon-2018” (Hydro-airshow-2018) was held in Gelendzhik. Azimut JSC presented an exhibit of a UTM – UAS, an unmanned aircraft traffic management system.
Deputy CEO for research and development at Azimut JSC Viktor Solomentsev took part in the following events:
- NTI AeroNet Roadmap panel discussion and implemented projects as part of NTI public support. A UAS-2030 development concept is a view of the NTI AeroNet working group, at whose meeting V. Solomentsev made a presentation “Technological problems of the integration of UAS into the airspace. International experience”.
- Joint meeting of the State Duma Commission for legal support to the development of the defense industry sector of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Committee for the aviation industry and the Commission for the development of the air navigation system of the Union of Engineering Workers of Russia. The meeting focused on issues related to the production and development of unmanned aircraft systems under the diversification programme of defense enterprises, creating conditions for the development of the market for the use of UAS in Russia. In his speech, Vladimir Solomentsev drew attention to the need to coordinate the efforts of the aviation and radio-electronic industries, the development of communication infrastructure to create conditions for the safe use of the airspace of UAS and manned aircraft, as well as technological and organizational tasks in the integration of unmanned aircraft systems into the common airspace. It was emphasised that there was a need for testing and finalizing the technology of using drones in pilot areas, the first of which is established in the Tomsk region.
