Azimut JSC representative Viktor V. Solomentsev was appointed responsible for the design of the Pilot Area by the joint decision of the participants.
On September 20, 2018, in Tomsk, a meeting of section heads of a Taiga project was held, with the participation of Tomsk region administration representatives to consider the work performed in relation to Taiga 1 and Taiga 2 projects. The pilot project implementation issues were discussed at the meeting, with the purpose of establishing of a pilot area in the Tomsk region on the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to perform service and transport tasks.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the Siberian branch of the Advanced Research Foundation, AeroNet Association representatives, the customers of UAS-based services, and local enterprises interested in the project.
