At Barnaul airport, work has been completed to prepare for the commissioning of landing systems SP-200, RMM-200 (2 sets), produced by Russia’s leading developer and supplier of air navigation equipment Azimut JSC.
The instrument landing system SP-200, RMM-200, is all-weather, and, in accordance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), it is recognized to be a non-visual aid of precision approach. The system makes it easier for the pilot to approach and land. Identical radio navigation aids, produced by AZIMUT, are installed and operate at Russian airports.
Under the contract in favour of FSUE «State ATM Corporation», Azimut JSC specialists carried out installation, starting-up and adjustment works, as well as the briefing of operating personnel, ground tests and introductory flight checks.
