The ILS2700 landing system is the ground equipment of the aircraft landing system operating in automatic, semi-automatic, and manual piloting modes. The ground equipment ILS2700 is designed to emit amplitude-modulated HF signals in a certain area, containing information received onboard the aircraft, equipped with appropriate receivers, and enables determining its location relative to the runway during approach and landing. The landing system is designed for continuous, unattended operation around the clock.

Orsk international airport is located in the Orenburg region, 17 kilometers from the central part of the city and is the main transport link between the Orenburg region and Kazakhstan. The air hub was assigned the status of federal importance in 1998. Annually, every fourth resident of the Orsk-Novotroitsk industrial hub uses the airport's services.
