The pre-commissioning of an ILS2700 instrumental landing system, produced by Azimut JSC, a leading Russian developer and supplier of air traffic management equipment, has been completed at Magadan International Airport.

The package of works on the commissioning of the ILS2700 instrumental landing system is performed in the interests of FSUE «State ATM Corporation». As part of the contract, specialists of Azimut JSC carried out the installation and commissioning of the equipment, as well as the breifing of operating personnel, as well as performing ground tests and introductory flight checks.

Magadan International Airport provides regular flights to the Magadan region, connecting it to the air hubs of the Russian Far East, including the Chukotka Autonomous Area, Siberia and Moscow. It is one of the 32 airports in the country, located in remote areas. The refurbishment and construction of infrastructure is being carried out under the Federal target programme «Development of the transport system of Russia for the years 2010-2020».
