Asker Saidov, CEO of Azimut JSC, took part in a visiting interdepartmental meeting on the completion of the infrastructure construction and commissioning of the airport complex in the town of Petrozavodsk.
The meeting was held by Rashid Nurgaliev, a member of the State Commission for the preparation for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, on behalf of the Chairman of the State Commission for the preparation for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, N. P. Patrushev.
As part of the Federal target program "Development of the transport system of Russia (2010-2021)", Besovets airport (the town of Petrozavodsk) is being modernized. The equipment of Azimut JSC was installed in it in 2019 and has successfully been operating ever since: DVOR 2000/DME 2700, ILS 2700 /DME 2700; and it is also planned to conclude a contract for the supply of the Galaxy Air Traffic Control Automation System and the VCCS 2700 voice communication system.
When walking through the airfield, first Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation – head of Federal Air Transport Agency Aleksandr Neradko and Deputy CEO of "Almaz – Antey" Air and Space Defence Corporation" JSC Dmitry Savitsky looked over the equipment by Azimut installed at Besovets airport: 270 ILS/DME 2700 and DVOR2000/DME2700 installed at the airport more than a year ago, and since then the equipment has been operating flawlessly. Having examined the products, Aleksandr Neradko highly appreciated their quality and reliability.
