One of the key events of the business part of the International Aerospace Salon MAKS-2021, the Fourth Eurasian Aerospace Congress, was held on the eve of the exhibition on July 19, 2021.
At the plenary session, Boris Aleshin, the president of the Congress, made an opening speech. Welcoming addresses and speeches were made by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov, heads of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Roscosmos (Federal Space agency of the Russian Federation), the Federal Air Transport Agency, the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology, representatives of the State Duma and the Council of the Federation, etc.
Within the framework of the Congress, a conference was held on the topic "Integration of UAS into the Russian airspace: issues, hurdles, solutions". The conference was moderated by Viktor Solomentsev, Deputy CEO of Azimut JSC, Chairman of the Committee for Ground Air Traffic Control, Navigation, Landing and Communications of the Union of Aviation Industrialists of Russia, Deputy Chairman of the Commission for the Development of the Air Navigation System of the Russian Engineering Union.
Presentations at the conference were made by representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Russian Post JSC, Kronshtadt JSC, Azimut JSC, Aviatelecominvest JSC, FGUP GosNII GA (Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State Research Institute of Civil Aviation"), Skolkovo Foundation, non-profit partnership GLONASS and others.
The conference discussed topical issues in the use of UAS in the country's economy, technical and operational issues of UAS flights, as well as the issues of standardization, legal and technical regulation in the field of UAS.
