GosNII GA (State Research Institute of Civil Aviation) Conference: On the Implementation plan of the integration concept of UAVs into a single space
On 21st March, 2022, a scientific and technical conference was held on the basis of FSUE GosNII GA on the topic "Key scientific and technical tasks of the Implementation plan of the integration concept of UAVs into a single space of the Russian Federation in terms of the development of unmanned aircraft systems technologies."
The moderators of the conference were First Deputy CEO of GosNII GA Aleksandr A. Korsakov and Deputy CEO for scientific work and development of Azimut JSC Viktor V. Solomentsev.
The event was held in a full-time and part-time format and brought together representatives of aviation departments, production and research centres, and business entities.
More than 120 students gathered to form scientifically-based proposals for updating the Concept of integrating unmanned aircraft into a single space. The conference was attended by members of the ATC and Flight Safety committees of the Union of Aircraft Manufacturers of Russia.
Andrey V. Maksimenko, Acting CEO of FSUE GosNII GA, opened the conference with a welcoming speech.
A welcoming speech was also made by:
• Dmitry A. Stepanko, Director General of the Department of State Policy in Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation;
• Head of the of Airspace Management Department of the Federal Air Transport Agency Sergey I. Martynenko.
During the conference, 18 speakers delivered their presentations in which they touched upon organizational and technological aspects of the implementation of the Concept of integrating unmanned aerial vehicles into a single space, UAS certification issues, promising surveillance and communication technologies for UAS, C2 ground satellite lines and application practices, as well as the issues of technology and radio frequency spectrum.
Ekaterina V. Shuvalova, Deputy Director General of Air Navigation of FSUE GosNII GA, made a closing speech.
The conference served as a platform for the exchange of practices and enabled the participants to present their proposals on the development plan for unmanned vehicles and the integration of UAS into the aviation industry.
