Our company has installed the RMP-200 (NDB) in Orenburg Airport to ensure safe aircraft approaches for landing and ground-to-air voice communications between ATC controllers and pilots.
“The RMP-200 (NDB) is the-state-of-the art, reliable navigation equipment already used in Russian and CIS airports, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Simferopol, Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Makhachkala, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad, Astana, Tashkent, etc. Azimut specialists completed installation, commissioning, training, ground tests and flight checks in Orenburg. The company is responsible for warranty and post-warranty maintenance” said Alexey Galchenkov, Deputy CEO of Azimut.
The RMP-200 is produced by NIIT-RK, which is a part of the Azimut. It is designed to determine the aircraft heading angle and receive voice messages transmitted over the ground-to-air channel. The RMP-200 is recommended for use at civil aerodromes as one of the means to indicate the landing heading of aircraft. It can be used as either an outer/middle marker beacon or a standalone radio beacon.
Azimut is a leading Russian developer and OEM of air navigation systems for airports. The company designs, manufactures and delivers solutions on a “turnkey basis” including:
